LESSON 1 · BEGINNER

Trading,
without the jargon.

Trading simply means buying or selling a financial market with the goal of benefiting from a price move. The difficult part is not clicking Buy or Sell — it is controlling risk, making consistent decisions and accepting that every trade can lose.

1. What are you actually trading?

CrownX focuses on three types of markets: Gold (XAUUSD), Forex currency pairs, and the US500/S&P 500 index market. Their prices move throughout the trading week as buyers and sellers react to economic news, interest rates, company expectations, risk sentiment and many other factors.

Buy / LongYou are positioned for price to rise.
Sell / ShortYou are positioned for price to fall.
ProfitThe position closes with a positive financial result.
LossThe position closes with a negative financial result.
Stop LossAn instruction designed to close a losing trade around a defined level. Fast markets can still slip beyond it.
Take ProfitAn instruction to close a trade when a target level is reached.

2. Why can trading be risky?

Trading prices can move against you. Leveraged accounts can magnify both gains and losses. Spreads, slippage, gaps, commissions and execution conditions can also change the result you receive.

Important: A trading robot does not remove market risk. Automation can make execution more consistent, but it cannot know the future or guarantee that a setup will make money.

3. What is leverage?

Leverage lets a trading account control a market position larger than the cash deposited. This can make small price movements financially significant. Beginners should not interpret high leverage as a requirement to trade large positions.

4. What does a broker do?

Your broker provides the trading account, market symbols, pricing/execution environment and access to MetaTrader 5. Different brokers can use different symbol names, spreads and contract specifications, so the same strategy can behave differently across accounts.

5. What is a demo account?

A demo account uses simulated money. It is useful for learning MT5, installing CrownX and watching how orders are handled without risking real funds.

A good first goal is not profit. Your first goal should be understanding what the robot does, how MT5 behaves, what a losing trade looks like, and whether the risk settings make sense to you.

6. Where does CrownX fit?

Instead of asking you to watch charts and manually decide every entry, CrownX is designed to automate a structured process: scan its target market, evaluate conditions, qualify a setup, apply risk checks and execute in MT5 when its configured rules allow it.

Next: understand MetaTrader 5

MT5 is the platform where CrownX runs.
